Halifax Online Application For Service
You may apply for service online by clicking the button below or you may apply in person at 26 N. King Street, Halifax, NC 27839. When applying online, please use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to complete your application. New service applications will be processed during regular business hours Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Once the application is complete, we will review the information submitted. You will receive an email explaining the non-refundable service fee and security deposit required for establishing water service. Service will not begin until the service fee and deposit are paid. After payment in the Online Payment Portal, an email will be generated to you and a service order created for the Customer Service Representative at HCPU.
All reasonable efforts will be made to turn on service the same day for applications completed and processed before 1 pm. For applications completed and processed after 1 pm, all reasonable efforts will be made to turn on service the following business day.
The following are required for application to be processed:
• Full payment of any past due account(s).
• Copy of Driver’s License or photo ID.
• Proof of ownership or lease agreement.
• Social Security Number (SSN)—Your SSN will only be used for debt collection purposes under G.S. 105A-3(c). Providing your SSN is voluntary; however, a higher security deposit may be required for applicant’s that do not provide this information.
